BFBC2 Tips and Tricks

1) Press "Q" for everything. Q while aiming at a medic requests healing. Q while aiming at a friendly vehicle requests a pickup. Q on an enemy spots them. However, don't spam it. If you spam it, there will be a cooldown between each spot.

2) Shoot at the head. Shoot in bursts. This should be obvious, but I get people complaining that they're emptying an entire "clip" into someone's chest. You should never empty your entire magazine. You should never shoot anywhere but the head. Even LMGs should be burst fired, despite the fact that they're the only automatic guns that don't lose accuracy with sustained fire.
    a) There are two aiming mechanics you should be aware of: accuracy and recoil. Recoil is obvious, as it will move your crosshair. Accuracy does not affect anything on screen, but it affects the spread of the bullet. Guns with high accuracy will fire a bullet where your crosshair is aimed. Guns with low accuracy will fire in a spread around it. When you empty an AR magazine into someone's chest, not all of the bullets are actually hitting. Burst fire.

3) Recons: You are recons, not snipers. You can snipe, but you don't snipe as well as you recon. Spot people. Throw out your automatic spotting balls.

4) Switch kits and gadgets. If there is a tank raping your mcom stations, sniping or shooting grenades at it will not help. Pick up some C4, or switch to engineer to take care of the tank, then switch back if you so choose.

5) The SAIGA is the ultimate CQB gun. Still, aim for the head.

I'm sorry, but even three point blank chest shots from an M9 will knock someone on their ass, even in kevlar, to say nothing of larger weapons. But I've always played hardcore anyway, so...besides, one headshot from any weapon should be a kill in any case, not 2-3. I know, it's a game, and it's not uber realistic, I'm just a'sayin. Also because I made that comment. 

Also:

6) As an Engineer, repairing vehicles adds experience.

7) Obvious, but a defib will add the lost reinforcement point back to the pool. This is especially important on Conquest and Rush offense.

I'm sorry, but even three point blank chest shots from an M9 will knock someone on their ass, even in kevlar, to say nothing of larger weapons. But I've always played hardcore anyway, so...besides, one headshot from any weapon should be a kill in any case, not 2-3. I know, it's a game, and it's not uber realistic, I'm just a'sayin. Also because I made that comment. 

I play on normal so that when noobs  shoot me in the chest, I turn around and headshot them.

If you want realism, go play America's Army and die from everything. If you want a fun game that is balanced and rewards skill, play BFBC2 on normal mode. Hardcore lets people who can't even aim kill you. It lets people spam nades everywhere for random kills. It renders the medic healing useless. It removes all spotting (except on the manual map, which is useless) and all teamwork. It makes everyone switch to recon and camp. The point of the game is not realism. It's to reward people who aim better and work better as a team, and hardcore mode fails so hard at those things.

I played one hardcore game with you, and apparently going 3:11 didn't turn you off of that mode, so I don't know what else I can do to convince you it is a horrible mode in terms of GAMEPLAY. I guess dying randomly from sniper shots to the foot and grenade spam pays off when you only half to empty 1/3 of a clip into someone's chest.

I played one hardcore game with you, and apparently going 3:11 didn't turn you off of that mode, so I don't know what else I can do to convince you it is a horrible mode in terms of GAMEPLAY.

It did beat going 1:28 on regular. I'm a sniper by nature, so my style is more suited to hc I guess.

I also DESPISE 32/32. It's just, beyond retarded. 24/24 or lower is usually best for me.

Lots of people in a server can A HECTIC FUCKING GAME AS IT IS.
But I still love it.
Now if only my FPS were better...
